The Municipal Court Clerk is available from Monday through Thursday from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm and on Friday from 8:00 am to 12:00 pm.  The Municipal Court Clerk does not answer legal questions of any nature.  The clerk is allowed to explain court proceedings and procedures only.  If you need legal advice, please contact a lawyer.

PURPOSE (Function)

A telephone call or E-mail message does not constitute an appearance.  Inability to pay a fine is not an excuse for failure to appear.  

Please read TERMS AND CONDITIONS first.

  • The court will add another charge, "Failure to Appear."
  • The court will request that the Texas Department of Public Safety suspend your Texas driver's license.
  • ​If the court issues a warrant for your arrest, you will be subject to arrest at your home, place of business, or wherever the arresting officer(s) find you.

Contact the Municipal Court Office regarding any questions you might have about your citation(s) and/or warrant(s).  If you have received a citation, you must appear on or before the date and time on your citation.  Please do not appear the same day you receive the citation.  

If you have trouble using the online payment option, you may pay by mail or pay in person.

The clerk uses the postmarked date (stamped by your postal service) to note the payment date.  Do not send cash.  Send only a money order through the mail.  Include the citation/ticket number on the money order.

  • With prior approval from the court, you may pay the court-approved monthly payment on a balance owed or any special expense fees (per your deferred disposition agreement) online.
  • By paying your fine before appearing in court, you have waived your right to a trial by judge or jury.  (A payment constitutes a plea of guilty.)
  • The court is not responsible for late payments.

  1. Class C misdemeanor criminal cases (including traffic, city ordinance violations, etc.)​
  2. Defendants are punishable by fine only - not jail time.
  3. Court is in session on the second Tuesday of every month.

By paying your fine on this website, you understand that

1. No online payments will be accepted for:

  • request to take DSC for a ticket dismissal
  • request deferred disposition from the court for a particular case
  • juvenile cases
  • minors (under the age of 21) charged with an alcohol-related offense
  • minors (under the age of 18) charged with a tobacco-related offense
  • cases in bond  forfeiture

These cases must be handled in person at the court.

2. With prior approval from the court, you may pay online the court approved monthly payment on  a balance owed, or any special expense fees as per your deferred disposition agreement.

3. By paying your fine before appearing in court,

  • You have waved your right to a trial by judge or jury
  • A plea of No Contest and a disposition of Guilty will be entered on your case.
  • Payments may be posted the following work day; payments can be verified by calling 281.485.3048
  • Fines and/or warrant payments paid on a Friday, will not post until the following workday.
  • The Court is not responsible for late payment

NOTICE: Please be advised that a voluntary online payment will result in a conviction and will be reported to Texas Department of Public Safety and forfeits any right to request a Driving Safety Class or Deferred Disposition for possible dismissal of your citation.
